Like so many of our favorite brands, Attractions was born from an appreciation of vintage clothing. Originally founded in 2006, Attractions began as a vintage reseller, importing pieces from the United States and UK before starting their own production in 2011. Their experience in the vintage world provided them with the knowledge and inspiration necessary to develop their own styles, growing into an impressive and unique brand in a market saturated with alternatives.
Attractions' Heritage work pants are an excellent "old world" casual pant (that you could certainly get away with dressing up in modern times) with a creased front and a handsome taper. Cut with a comfortable medium high rise, they feature an athletic leg with a noticeable taper the whole way down the leg and ending with an opening that looks great with most publicly acceptable footwear (just nothing gaudy).
They're made from an all black 100% cotton twill, based on West Point uniform fabric. The fabric is cold mercerized upon finishing, a treatment that increases dye intake and strengthens fabric structure, imparting a gentle luster and reducing fabric shrink throughout. Inside, they're trimmed with white cotton HBT for maximum comfort and breathability.
The other details are simple but fitting, from the snap and button fly, to the horizontally sewn waistband (a tailoring trick that increases longevity by resisting the amount of mechanical stretch in the waist), to the extra chunky folded cuff, they're low key but extremely appealing. They've got two front pockets and two rear pockets for storing all your stuff, with darts running down the seat for additional shaping.
